Overview:
We are seeking a seasoned and results-driven General Manager – Packaging and Plastics to lead and manage our operations within the packaging and plastics industry. The GM will be responsible for overseeing production, driving operational excellence, and spearheading strategic initiatives to enhance efficiency, quality, and profitability
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage end-to-end production processes for packaging and plastic products.
- Develop and implement strategies to optimize cost, productivity, and product quality.
- Ensure production targets are met while adhering to industry standards and safety regulations.
- Monitor production budgets, raw material procurement, and resource allocation.
- Lead and mentor cross-functional teams, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with R&D, Quality Assurance, and Supply Chain teams to innovate and streamline processes.
- Identify and mitigate risks, troubleshoot production issues, and implement corrective actions.
- Drive compliance with industry regulations, quality standards, and company policies.
Skills Required:
- Proven experience in production management, preferably within the textile, packaging and plastics industry.(6+ years)
- Strong leadership and team management abilities with a focus on operational excellence.
- Deep understanding of manufacturing processes, materials, and machinery related to packaging and plastics.
- Financial acumen with experience in managing budgets and optimizing resources.
- Strong problem-solving, organizational, and decision-making skills.
- Familiarity with industry-specific regulations, safety standards, and quality protocols.
